PAACO DAIRY WELFARE AUDITOR TRAINING

Training

The mission of the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization is to promote animal welfare through auditor training and audit certification.

PAACO Dairy Welfare Auditor Training has six components:

Six Components of Training

At the end of the in-person training (Step 3), trainees must take and pass an exam that covers material from both the online and in-person instruction. Trainees that pass the exam must then complete two shadow audits within one year (Step 4) in order to become certified and listed on the PAACO database.

Homework

Once registered in the PAACO Dairy Welfare Auditor Training, there is homework to facilitate preparation for both the exam and the instruction delivered face to face.

Download this checklist to track your progress with the homework to be completed before your in-person PAACO training. This homework is important for in-class discussion and the final exam on the last day of the training. We estimate that preparation will take between 1 and 2 days and recommend completing well in advance of your training date.

Please record all relevant test scores on the provided checklist and other answers on the homework packets provided. Bring your results and comments to your in-person training.
