Become PAACO Certified
- Minimum education level with combined relevant experience required
- High School Diploma - 5 years of relevant livestock experience within the past 10 years
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree - 3 years of relevant livestock experience within the past 7 years
- Master's, Ph.D., DVM Degree - 2 years of relevant livestock experience within the past 5 years
- Following credential approval by PAACO, auditor trainees attend on-site training
- Trainers are industry professionals who are experts within their fields overseeing process combining on-site and hands-on learning
- Following training, attendees take a comprehensive exam
- Minimum passing score set by the PAACO Board of Directors
- Trainees perform shadow audits, number depending on their species
- Shadow audit process reviews trainee performance
- Must be performed with a PAACO Certified Auditor of the same species
- Results are sent to PAACO staff for review
- Shadow audits must be completed within one year of training date
- Upon successful completion, trainee becomes a PAACO Certified Auditor in that specific species
- Auditor certification is valid for one year from the certification date.
